The One He Pursues

There have been moments when I’ve felt unseen. When my prayers felt like they disappeared into the dark. When I wondered if He moved on to someone more faithful, more deserving.
But He hadn’t. He never does.
Luke 15:4 says, “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the one until he finds it?”

That picture…it’s me. It’s us.
I’ve wandered. I’ve tried to find my own way.
And still, He came after me. Not with anger, but with mercy. He lifted me when I couldn’t take another step. He carried me when I didn’t believe I was worth carrying.
And I have learned that our wandering never makes us worthless. It just shows how relentless Jesus Christ’s love truly is. He knows our names, our pain, the roads we’ve taken to try and fill the ache…and yet, He still comes.
Our wandering never makes us worthless.
So if you feel unseen, forgotten, or too far gone, please hear this…You’re not. You’re the one He leaves the 99 for. The one He rejoices over when He finds you. The Shepherd who placed the stars in the sky still knows exactly where you are, and He’s coming for you. Not to condemn, but to carry you home.
The Shepherd who placed the stars in the sky still knows exactly where you are, and He’s coming for you.
Because that’s who He is, the Good Shepherd. The One who never stops pursuing hearts like ours.
